Spring Clean-Up

Spring is when everything comes back to life around Sharon, and thats great but it also means your dealing with all the mess from winter. Dead branches everywhere, old leaves that got stuck under bushes, and beds that look pretty rough after months of snow and ice.

Our spring cleanup gets your property ready for the growing season. We clear out all the winter debris, cut back dead stuff from last year, edge all your beds so they look sharp again, and get everything ready for new mulch. The timing matters too - you want to do this before everything starts really growing or your just making more work for yourself later.

Properties over by Lake Massapoag or around Deborah Sampson Park need extra attention in spring because all that moisture means more debris and faster weed growth. We've seen beds go from looking good to looking terrible in like two weeks if you don't get the spring cleanup done right.

Fall Clean-Up

Fall cleanup is probably the most important service for Sharon properties and a lot of people don't realize why. All those leaves from the big oaks and maples around town - if you let them sit on your lawn all winter they kill the grass underneath. And if they blow into your beds and stay there, you get mold and disease problems that mess up your plants.

We usually do multiple visits during fall because the leaves don't all drop at once. First round is usually mid-October, then we come back in November, and sometimes early December if its a late year. This is where most property owners give up on doing it themselves. Weeding isn't fun and it never stops. You pull weeds one week, two weeks later there's new ones. We come every other week during the growing season (usually May through October) and hand-pull all the weeds from your beds. We don't use chemicals unless you specifically want them because hand-weeding actually works better long-term. The key is staying consistent with it. If you let weeding go for a month, suddenly you have big weeds with deep roots that are way harder to pull. When we come every two weeks, were pulling small weeds that come out easy and take like half the time. Some people ask why they still get weeds if they have mulch. Here's the thing - mulch helps alot but it doesn't stop everything. Weed seeds blow in from neighbors yards, they come in on bird droppings, they just show up. And once one weed gets established and goes to seed, now you have hundreds more.
