Spring Clean-Up

Spring cleanup is probably the most satisfying service we do. After a long winter, your property needs some serious attention before anything can grow properly.

We start by raking out all the dead leaves and debris that got matted down under the snow. This stuff basically smothers your grass if you leave it there. Then we edge out all your beds - most properties have at least a few inches of grass and weeds that crept into the mulch areas over the past year. We cut back your perennials (the ones that need it) and pull out any branches or sticks that fell during winter storms.

A lot of homes around Wellesley have those big old oak trees, which is great for shade but means you've got acorns and twigs everywhere. We get all that cleaned up. We also check your drainage areas - Wellesley can get pretty wet in early spring, and if your downspout areas aren't clear, you end up with standing water or muddy spots that kill the grass.

We clean out your gutters if there accessible - this isn't technically landscaping but full gutters mean water dumps right next to your foundation, and that causes problems. We edge everything one last time and add a fresh layer of mulch to your beds if they need it.
